NOT what you want to see when doing a VW engine timing chain job due to a stretched timing chain.  Somebody was previously very generous with silicone !

Our customer recently purchased a Volkswagen CC and had a Check Engine light & an EPC light come on.  The vehicle had engine cylinder misfires and was running poorly. Thankfully his vehicle did not jump time and bend valves !

With a little (a lot actually) of extra cleaning and prep, the silicone was removed and a new timing cover was installed using OEM VW sealant.
