Great work since being stationed here, I was a little worried who would service my APR Stage 2 S4, Shad and Allison give you the impression they really care about their customers, and that speaks volumes. I am glad to be your customer.
I have been doing business with Shad and Allison for my Passat and my Highlander for many years. It is a pleasure to be known, recognized and remembered each time I need service. They are a shining example of honesty, integrity and competence. They invest the time and interest in my vehicles and have saved us a lot of money and worry versus other repair facilities. Their premises are spotless and extremely well organized. I would offer that they should be the poster people for how a business should be operated.
Shad and Allison are top notch in every way. Service was excellent, friendy, honest, and timely. I received updates while they explored the problems with my two volkswagons and they even sent videos and pictures of the problems. All problems are now gone and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My father was so impressed with their work that he drove his VW 4 hours to Lexington to have Shad check out his car. I HIGHLY recommend Das Autohaus!

We CANNOT say enough Great things about Shad and Allison! After 17 year living and serving in Germany, moving back stateside was a worry in itself, but we all know the headache of finding good honest people that actually care about the people they serve and the quality of work they give out! Our first experience was taking our VW to the dealer….. Well let’s just say that nightmare was real!!! Never again I SAY NEVER will we go there again!! We just happened along Shad and Allison’s shop while driving and said let’s stop there. You can tell a good mechanic by the way he keeps his shop, Shad’s is neat, clean and organized. Allison greets you with a friendly face and hospitality. This team will steer you in an honest cost effective direction with your car care that will (unlike many other car shops) leave you feeling like you were the customer and not the victim. Excellent!!!! I would recommend them to my family and friends without hesitation.

Allison and Shad are extremely knowledgeable, easy to talk to and explained everything well especially to a non-car person like me. My Audi was having many problems, and they were all solved with a new battery.

Shad and Allison run a top notch business. Honest and reliable. Price is about one half the price quoted at dealer. Service was dealer quality. This is the first time my Passat TDI has not been serviced by a dealer. I will have all future service done by Das Autohaus.

Their quality and service were truly exceptional. My 2000 Volkwagen Jetta was having shifting issues (turned out to be a bad clutch). I took it to Import Specialties in Columbia, where they kept it for 4 days only to tell me they couldn’t detect any problems, charging me $79. There were clearly problems, and I next took it to Das Autohaus. Within a short 1-2 hours, they diagnosed and explained the problem, and also found that the transmission fluid was diluted (this was somehow missed by Import Specialties in 4 days’ time). They both replaced this fluid and topped off my oil for free, charging me only for the diagnosis labor time (also ~$79). When I brought it back for the repair, they made an effort to *show* me the car and explain the problems, including pictures to document what they’d done. Despite being young, a student, and northerner, I was treated with great respect. I would never hesitate to bring my VW back for servicing. My only complaint is their distance from downtown Columbia, where I live.
I’ve never had a better auto service experience than I did today with Shad and Allison. Simply remarkable how well they treat their customers and their cars. Allison gave me a ride back to work in the morning and picked me up at the end of the day. Shad went above & beyond in his work, and it was clear that he enjoyed explaining to me what he did and why the car had the various symptoms that were occurring.
I had been consideing selling my car (2006 VW GTI) due to the fact that it’s starting to have more problems within the past year. However, now that I know the best place to take it, I’m likely going to keep it a while longer.

Shad did the 80K timing belt, H2O pump, etc change out on our 2006 Jetta TDI. Great job! and at a fair price. Many thanks for the helpful info concerning changing the brake fluid change and diesel fuel filter change for the DIY as I am.
Most persons performing repairs and service will not offer much technical information or how it do concerning your vehicle. These guys are great! I would definitely recommend Das Autohaus for VW repair and service.
Just talked to Shad and Allison about an Audi I am looking to buy. They were extremely helpful and obviously care a great deal about their customers and the cars they work on. They are a class act, and I would strongly recommend them!

I have had wonderful experiences with Das Autohaus. I was happy with the service and cost of services for my Jetta. Allison and Shad are fantastic! Everything was explained to me in a way I could understand and they didn’t try to sell me anything that wasn’t necessary. They are running an honest business and I can’t imagine going anywhere else.
I agree with others who mentioned Shad’s ability and willingness to fully explain the work required for my car, and he is truly interested in keeping costs down without compromising quality. But the reason I will always stay with Das Autohaus is, simply put, I have very little knowledge or interest in the specifics of keeping my car running at an optimal level. I just want it to happen! I trust Shad to make it happen! He has enough enthusiasm about what he does for both of us!! He keeps meticulous records and has an incredible memory for what has been done and needs to be watched on my 2006 Nissan Murano. I don’t have to remember or fully educate myself on the mechanics of my car because I trust that he does that for me. I highly recommend him to anyone in the Lexington / Columbia area.
I had an outstanding experience with Shad and Allison recently during a project to change brakes, rotor and some suspension work on my car. They are a caring and professional in their approach and took time to discuss in detail any question I posed to them around what type of components and set up would work best for my 2008 Audi A6. I will use them for any future work and would also suggest that anyone who is interested in a shop who will treat your car as if it were their own, to do the same. Great job guys! You have a customer for life now.
Das Autohas is a professional, service-oriented business. They have worked on our Acura, Mercedez and Toyota Four Runner with excellent results and very competitive pricing. I brought my 2001 Audi A6 to Das Autohaus and can honestly say that I received the best service at the best price that I have ever encountered. Shad took time to explain our problem and what needed to be done to fix it. He answered all of our questions patiently and gave us answers that us non-mechanics could understand. Our car is running great and it was repaired for way less than what the dealership would have charged. I would give my highest recommendation to Das Autohaus and will certainly be a repeat customer.
My husband and I just love Das Autohaus! Shad actually takes time to explain the work which needs to be done and he even shows us how to do things ourselves. (Shad speaks to us in clear terms that a non-mechanic can understand.) We love the quality work he does; how he is there when needed and he is always conscious of our budget needs.

I am so fortunate to have Das Autohaus work on my domestic vehicles. I trust the mechanics there with all of my car car needs. This is truly a reputable business. I am so fortunate to have made that 1st phone call. Shad is a top-notch mechanic and an honest hard working individual. The repairs that he has made on my daughter’s 2001 Honda CRV will allow her to safely go off to college and drive this vehicle for many years to come. I have entrusted him with my other daughter’s car as well, a 2003 VW Beetle, which will surely get her past her college days and longer.

Das Autohaus did a wonderful job on my 2007 Honda CRV Air Conditioning repair. They were prompt and priced very fair! I will not hesitate to return with whatever issue I may come across and I do tell everyone about them!
