The summer is in full swing and many individuals are heading to the beach, mountains or elsewhere for vacation. Before you take a trip in this South Carolina heat, it is an excellent idea to have your vehicle inspected to ensure it is ready for the road.
We recently had one of our Volkswagen customers bring her VW Passat in for a pre-trip inspection, just to make sure that it was in good condition to travel several hours away for their vacation. During the oil service and routine inspection, we found that her battery had a dead cell and needed to be replaced. We also found that her serpentine belt was in need of replacement and that one of her headlights had an electrical issue due to frayed wiring. After these items were replaced, her vehicle is ready for her trip and she can feel comfortable knowing that any concerns were addressed before they became a major expense.
