Ways To Maximize Fuel Mileage
- Check your tire pressure (underinflated tires make your engine work harder)
- Pack only what you need for a trip (extra weight in the trunk burns more gas)
- Don’t idle unnecessarily (drive-thru, pick up line, vacation registration, etc)
- Stop topping off your fuel tank (this wastes gas and leads to fuel system problems)
- Drive at highway speeds instead of speeding (and save extra MPG)
- Fill up on Sunday when gas prices are lower
